Reports to: Chief Operating Officer                                      

 

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the entire department’s fundraising needs with the goal to make the Curriculum and Instruction Department self-supported within 3–5 years.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate and strategize with other fundraising staff on established donor base and best donor opportunities for the Curriculum and Instruction Department
Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communications with them.  
Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors
Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements
Research and publicize grant opportunities for member schools as well as assist schools in applying for grants
Direct major fundraising drives
Coordinate fundraising special events
Oversee prospect research
Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about the Curriculum & Instruction Department
Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems
Collaborate with marketing staff to support fundraising activities
Maintain gift recognition programs

 

QUALFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Nonprofit Administrations, Communications, Fund Development or a related field from a four-year college or university.
Minimum of 5 years in professional fundraising.
Must embrace the mission of Christian Schools International
Be willing to travel
Knowledge and appreciation of Reformed Christian education

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS:

Certified Fund Raising Executive (CRFE) certificate beneficial but not required.
