After serving as 2014 AFPWM President Elect/ NPD Chairperson and Membership Chair, Barbara Hohman stepped up to the position of Chapter President at our December 2014 meeting.  Barbara has recently launched a new fundraising consultancy, Barbara Hohman Consulting LLC, after retiring from her long-time position as Director of Resource Development at Senior Neighbors.  Previously Barbara served as Capital Campaign Director for the $70 million effort to construct the new Grand Rapids Art Museum, and she served in Amway's International Public Relations and Community Affairs areas earlier in her career.

Barbara is a big believer that with strong strategic focus and a team of energetic and dedicated volunteers, incredibly great things can be accomplished.  She hopes to focus her term as president on continuing the current explosive growth of the chapter fueled by outstanding programming,  launching deliberate collaborations with communities throughout our region, and helping West Michigan's fundraisers to be the most skilled, effective and caring leaders in our nation.  Stay tuned for a year of high energy and exciting opportunities.
