AFP West Michigan Chapter Scholarships

Local

AFP West Michigan Educational Program Scholarship – Chapter will award recipient with full tuition to attend a single program (includes NPD) hosted by AFP West Michigan. Recipient must be a current AFPWM Chapter member. One recipient is awarded one program tuition each calendar year. Scholarship Award not to exceed $50.00

Let’s Cultivate New Members Scholarship – Chapter will award recipient with full tuition to attend a single program (includes NPD) hosted by AFPWM. Recipient is not a member of AFP and has not been a member for over three years. Each recipient can receive this scholarship once each calendar year. Apply here!

Membership

Professional Membership Scholarship – Chapter will award a recipient with a one year Professional Individual AFPWM membership. Recipient does not have to be a current chapter member. Scholarship is not renewable and awarded once during their membership of AFPWM Scholarship Award $300.00

Young Professional Scholarship – Chapter will award a recipient with a one year Young Professional Scholarship AFPWM Membership. Recipient must be a current Collegiate Member of AFPWM and a part of the chapter for one year.  Recipient can receive this scholarship once during their membership of AFPWM. Scholarship Award $300

Collegiate Member Scholarship – Chapter will award a Collegiate Member with one year of AFPWM Membership. Recipient must be enrolled at a higher education institution and can receive this scholarship once during their membership. Recipient does not have to be a current member of AFPWM Scholarship Award $300.00. Apply here!

Regional Programs

The AFPWM Scholarship Fund will consider funding 50% (not to exceed $1,400) of the cost of tuition (including room, board and travel) of a regional fund raising program, such as those offered by Grand Valley State University, Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, the Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Center for Philanthropy, or other approved program. Apply with details of scholarship here!

National and International Programs

AFP International Chamberlain Scholarship

Each year, AFPWM sends a chapter-nominated Chamberlain Scholar to the AFP International Conference. The nominee must be a fundraiser who has never attended an AFP or NSFRE conference. The scholar pays $10 toward the event and the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy provides the scholarship directly to the conference registration account. The AFPWM Scholarship Fund may also fund 70% (not to exceed $1,000) of the cost of tuition (including room, board and travel) of an approved fundraising program, such as the AFP International Conference.

AFP International: Diverse Communities Scholarship

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is accepting applications for 14 members of diverse communities to attend the AFP International Fundraising Conference.  The Foundation is able to offer $1,500 scholarships ($595 conference fee + $905 for travel expenses).
